About Your Practitioner

Hi, I’m Rebekah Norman,
the founder of Impact Bodywork.
As a passionate sports massage therapist and an avid martial artist, my mission is to help athletes alleviate muscle tension, improve flexibility, and prevent injuries by providing targeted treatments that enhance athletic performance and accelerate healing.
With over two and a half years of experience in the field, I’ve accumulated nearly 150 hours of continuing education in specialized deep tissue treatment and sports massage techniques, including my Certified Sports Massage Specialist (CSMS) certification.
In addition to my career as a sports massage therapist, I am also a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) practitioner, Muay Thai fighter, and BJJ coach. My personal experience as an athlete allows me to understand the unique physical demands and recovery needs of combat sports practitioners. This insight drives my commitment to offering therapy that is tailored to the needs of those who push their bodies to the limit.
Whether you're a competitive athlete or someone training for personal goals, my mission is to provide personalized care that supports your physical well-being and performance.
At Impact Bodywork, I work with you to achieve the results you’re striving for, helping you recover, perform, and thrive.

Techniques & Modalities

Swedish Massage
This is a therapeutic massage that focuses on relaxing the muscles and improving circulation. Swedish Massage is often used for muscle tension relief and is the PERFECT modality for recovery from a high performance event or to allow the muscles to speedily recover from intense workout session.
Deep Tissue
This is a therapeutic technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It is designed to target chronic muscle tension, stiffness, and pain. Deep tissue treatment is slower, more intense pressure and deliberate strokes aimed at reaching the deeper muscle layers, fascia, and connective tissues.
Sports Specific
This is a specialized form of massage designed to enhance athletic performance, prevent injury, and aid in the recovery process for athletes and active individuals. The style and techniques applied in your massage will vary, depending on whether your needs are pre-event, post-event, for maintenance or for rehabilitation.
Treatment Tools
The use of specialized soft-tissue tools can be used during a massage session, which are designed to glide over the skin and deliver precise pressure to targeted areas. These tools can break up scar tissue, adhesions, or fascial restrictions to help stimulate the body’s natural healing response, encouraging increased blood flow, collagen production, and tissue regeneration.
